At the Bucks County Horse Park, our mission is to cultivate a thriving equestrian community by offering exceptional facilities, fostering education and horsemanship, and promoting love and respect for horses. We are committed to enhancing our natural surroundings in Bucks County through responsible land stewardship while providing educational and recreational experiences rooted in the rich traditions and natural beauty of our region for the entire community.
For nearly four decades, Bucks County Horse Park has served as a gathering place for riders, families, and the greater Bucks County community.
Located on 145 preserved acres in Revere, Pennsylvania, the Park offers year-round opportunities to ride, compete, learn, and connect in the great outdoors. From sunrise to sunset, 365 days a year, the gates are open to those who value horses, community, and the traditions of equestrian sport, weather permitting.
Founded in 1987 and incorporated as a nonprofit in 1991, the organization was created through the vision and dedication of local horsemen and women who believed Bucks County deserved a permanent home for equestrian activity. In 2004, the property was secured as part of the county’s long-term initiative to preserve open space in the face of development pressure.
Managed and funded entirely by Bucks County Horse Park, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Park depends on memberships, events, and community support to maintain the grounds and host more than 50 competitions and programs each year.
What began as a local shared vision has grown into one of the region’s most active and welcoming equestrian facilities, sustained by the riders, volunteers, and families who call it home.
Horse Park Members who have logged their hours on the Trail will be recognized at the Annual Awards Banquet if the self-reported form is turned in by October 1st. There is an annual $25 enrollment fee, hours are cumulative from year to year, and awards are given depending on benchmark number of hours spent on the trail!
The trail system at Bucks County Horse Park uniquely sets us apart from other horse parks in the northeast. Only at BCHP can one hack into the woods, gallop down a former airstrip, forge across the end of a pond, and enjoy a leisurely walk up and down wooded hills. Trails originate on the main section of the Park property owned by the Bucks County Park and Recreation Department and meander through dedicated easements on private property as well as trails graciously lent to us by our neighbors.
Throughout the history of the Park, many trails have been established and marked for use. The passage of time, hurricane Sandy, and other strong storms have taken their toll on the trails. Currently the Bucks County Horse Park is focusing energy and time repairing the trail system for Park members and visitors.
The Park is a safe and peaceful place with excellent facilities. There are two large show rings with practice show jumps, a dressage ring with a rubber surface and an all-purpose ring. BCHP also has a multi-level cross country course over varied terrain; including banks, ditches, and water complex. There are starter through training level courses and many smaller jumps to school over. The Park also has a grass stadium jumping area. There is a large pavilion, secretary and judges’ buildings and excellent all-weather parking. The trail system covers over 25 miles of trails and includes some all-weather and driving trails. This facility is available for rental.
