On the October 4th, 2008 the Bucks County Horse Park will co-sponsor with Lehigh Valley Hospital the Pink Ribbon Ride. This is a fundraiser at the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. Our mission is to help the families and women facing this terrible disease and lessen their burden by way of personal grants for whatever they may need, medicine, therapy, and groceries.... anything. This is the 4th Annual Pink Ribbon Ride and has been a huge success with participants from all disciplines coming together to ride, walk and run to help women whose lives are devastated by Breast Cancer. The Pink Ribbon Ride can be enjoyed as a trail ride, where you set your own pace and enjoy the ride. Participants entry fees, along with other fund raising efforts will be donated to the Lehigh Valley Hospital Cancer Center and a portion will be donated to the Park for continued land preservation efforts. This special occasion begins in the morning of Oct 4 at 8:00am with registration and a quick send-off breakfast followed by the ride. We have a Sponsorship Champagne Brunch starting at 11:00am and award ceremony, honoring riders with outstanding contributions. Total monies raised by this event over the passed 3 years is approximately $30,000. The 2008 Pink Ribbon Ride has many new sponsors who will be donating gifts to participants of this year’s ride.
