About the Bucks County Horse Park

About Us

The Bucks County Horse Park is a unique facility dedicated to providing educational opportunities through competition for all equestrians and to the preservation of open space. The 123 acre Park is located in Revere, Pennsylvania, and is a self-sustaining part of the Bucks County Park System. Bucks County Horse Park, Inc. is the corporate entity which wholly manages and funds the grounds for the Bucks County Parks and Recreation Department. BCHP is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. The Park is open 365 days a year from sunrise to sunset.

History

Bucks County Horse Park was formed in 1987 and incorporated in 1991 as a private, non-profit organization. The acreage was purchased in January, 2004, from Kurt and Barbara Schneider as part of Bucks County’s long term initiative to preserve open space against intense development pressure. The Park depends on membership dues and revenue from over 50 events held each to support the costs of maintaining the trails and facilities.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to serve the amateur equestrian with a year round facility offering high quality recreational, competitive and educational experiences in a variety of disciplines; to manage and improve the facility: enhancing open space, practicing stewardship in land management, and to maintain the traditions and natural environs of Bucks County.

There is a large pavilion, secretary and judges’ buildings and excellent all-weather parking. The trail system covers over 25 miles of paths and includes some all-weather and driving trails.
